EKT Selection Limited was founded in 2004, from the acquisition of the contract ledger of Michael Tiernan Recruitment, which was set up in 2000 as a specialist International Synon2e/Plex/AS400 (System i) contract recruitment agency. 

Our remit was to continue to specialise on the ‘System i’ sector, but to also expand into general IT recruitment, supplying both contract and permanent staff. The main skills supplied range from IT Support Personnel through to Testers, Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and Senior IT Management staff.

Our core market is the UK, however we have extensive experience of placing and sourcing high quality IT personnel in Continental Europe and USA. This has enabled us to build an extensive database of international candidates, offering a unique advantage over our competitors. Many of our UK placements are EU candidates who we either source from our extensive UK or our international database.
